Places to Visit in IRONBRIDGE Area

Visitor Centre - one and a quarter miles
Museum of Iron, a comprehensive museum detailing Ironbridge in the Industrial Revolution - one and a half miles
Enginuity, a 'hands on' Science museum, very good for children - one mile and a half (my grandchildren love this and visit again and again!!)
Jackfield tile Museum, detailing the development of the World famous tiles and sometimes offering an opportunity to actually make one - 5 minute walk
Broseley Pipeworks Museum
The Tar Tunnel - 10 minute walk
Blists Hill Open Air Museum and Victorian Town, where there is a working Victorian street with shops and a pub, a working mine shaft, squatter's cottage and much more - one and a half miles
Coalport China Museum, housing the famous Coalport China - one mile

Adjacent is the World renowned David Austins World of Roses, well worth a visit, wonderful gardens and restaurant though be warned you are likely to come home bearing a rose!!

For breathtaking scenery the Wrekin is superb and further afield Church Stretton and the Long Mynd, 'Mary Webb' country, where you can watch hang gliding, absailing or just picnic and enjoy the breathtaking views.
